3rd EARSeL SIG Workshop on Land Use & Land Cover

25 - 27 November 2009, Bonn, Germany

Universitätsclub Bonn (Konviktstr. 9)

A history of more than 2000 years has given Bonn most varied facets. As the former capital Bonn has still an international flair and many high-ranked national and international organizations are located here. With more than 30.000 students, Bonn has one of the 10 largest universities in Germany. Geoinformatics is one of the evolving fields where the university gains profile and many small and medium sized spin-off companies have developed. Beyond science, Bonn is well known as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven. Numerous high-ranked museums invite you to enjoy the vivid cultural life of the city.

Built on Roman fundaments, the „Universitäts-Club Bonn“ is located in the city centre, close to the university main building, the railway station and the river Rhine. The workshop location can be easily reached by public transport and from the Cologne/Bonn airport to which also many cheaper airlines provide regular flights within Europe.
