Lecture: Introduction to Remote Sensing
|
| Schedule: |
25-29 January 2010, 9:00-13:00 |
| Lecturer: |
Prof. Dr. G. Menz, Prof. Dr. B. Waske |
| Registration: |
open to all interested persons |
| Location: |
ZEF/ZEI building, right conference room, Walter-Flex-Str. 3 |
| Level: |
beginners |
| Course target: |
Participants shall understand basic principles of satellite and airborne remote sensing systems
as well as of simple image processing techniques. After attending, they should be aware of the potential, but also
of the demands of this technique and have an idea where this method could be used in their studies or projects.
|
| Topics: |
physical principles (atmospheric transfer, radiation laws), remote sensing applications,
sensor systems and platforms (optical and microwave; airborne, spaceborne; geostationary, polar-orbiting),
wave target interaction, data sources & access, basic image processing requirements & techniques,
remote sensing project design
